Child Watch Program

Child Watch is a limited service which focuses on providing a safe, caring, child interest-driven environment that encourages children to learn by doing. This may be done through communication, projects, or through children playing and socializing with other children. We believe the drop-in service should be a support network for families as well as a positive role model for building relationships.

Child Watch hours

  • Monday-Thursday: 8 am-8 pm
  • Friday: 8 am-3:30 pm
  • Saturday: 9 am-1 pm
  • Sunday: closed

Our child care service is free to members and limited to 2.5 hours per day.  It is available for children ages six weeks until they are 6½ years of age while their parents participate in Y classes and activites. Children are taken on a first come, first serve basis. Space is limited. Remember, you will need to show your Y membership card when checking your children in and out of Child Watch.

This service is for those children under 6½ years old only. Once children are 6½, they are able and will need to use the Youth Center. Hours for the Youth Center can be found by clicking here: Outreach.

In order to feed or change your child, your child and their belongings need to have their name on them.  Child Watch will supply you with materials to label items. Please label your child and their items when you arrive each time you visit.
