Free choice activities are offered to school-age students before school. Breakfast is served daily. Children must arrive by 7:20am to avoid missing the bus. Tranportation not provided to schools where AM Kid Stop programs are offered. We run on the public school schedule.

This program held at the YMCA. This program provides a balance of experiences including art, special program, music, sign language, and swimming lessons. Jungle Kids runs on the public school schedule. Transportation is provided to most Rapid City Area Schools. Tuition includes fees for special activities and occasional field trips. Children enrolled in afternoon kindergarten may attend this program. Children needing care after school may attend the YMCA kidstop program at their school or the sundowner school age program at the YMCA at no additional charge.

Promotes self confidence, trust, education, and character development. Activites include snack time, centers, indoor/outdoor play, homework time, enrichment clubs, and occasional field trips. We run on the public school schedule.

All Day Programs run on the most of the days that Rapid City Public Schools are not in session. Activites may include swimming, movie trips, bowling, hikes, crafts, games and much more. Please check out the dates and registration deadlines for these programs by viewing DETAILS or by calling our childcare desk at 718-KIDS(5437). Registration is not complete until the on-line All Day Registration Form has been submitted, and payment has been made. To do that, first click on the "Registration Form" located at the upper left hand side next to the YMCA logo. After completing that form, please click on the grey "More Information and Online Registration" button located at the right. This will take you to our program database where you will select the appropriate program. When you have entered your chargecard number, then you have paid and completed the registration online for your program.

Sundowners offers supervised play, recreation, and learning experiences. Activities are planned daily after school. Electives may include gym activities, arts and crafts, special projects, and swimming. Transportation is provided from most Rapid City Area Schools. We run on the public school schedule.
